TalentIT Twente is the connector of the Twente Region. We speak to and understand companies and students both. Now, we wish to put that into practice in a new way. During our talks we noticed more and more frequently that the school curriculums do not always line up with the technical wishes of companies. Especially with regards to programming languages and frameworks. This makes it more difficult for talents to find part-time jobs, internships or a company to graduate at, while companies have to look longer to find their match. This summer, we can help change this.
This summer we will organise the first edition of the TalentIT Summer school! One full, dedicated week to prepare talents, so you can smoothly transition into working for companies like some of our partners. This is how we can reduce the gap between knowledge institutions and companies. Together with Fleur de Vries – Oudenampsen, software engineer and teacher at the Saxion University, and various partners who will be present, we’ve created an awesome program.
Talents will be taught NodeJS, VueJS, PHP, Angular and React. You will receive the introduction to these programming languages and be able to put your knowledge to the test in workshops and assignments. How do you program properly? What frameworks fit well? Or are there any best practices? Our partners will show you how they apply these techniques in the workplace. Finally, to end off the days of theory, you will be tested with a hackathon! Experience real business cases and use the skills you’ve been taught to work and solve them!

Costs: It is entirely free for TalentIT students! Employees of companies pay 200,- per day, excluding VAT. The lunch is included for all who attend!
